  From the airport:
bus 10 - stop 22 Cantons (gare Cornavin),
and then tram 15 (stop Uni Mail)
From the Cornavin railway station:
tram 15 and 17 (stop Uni Mail)

Official Language:
English is the official language of the congress. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

Badges:
The conference badge allows participants free access to the public transport. Only persons with conference badges are allowed to attend the sessions. Cost of replacing a lost or mislaid badge: CHF 30.-

Lunches:
Lunches will be served at the Cafeteria of Uni Mail and are not included in the meeting fees (CHF 25.-/lunch). Pre-registration is necessary.

Oral Presentation:
Lecture rooms are equipped with data projectors, PCs, overhead projectors, blackboards. No slide projectors will be provided. PowerPoint presentations can be brought on C(DV)Ds or USB-keys. Own notebooks can be used too. Presentations should be downloaded on the computers in the lecture rooms and tested well before the lecture: 8h00-8h30 or 9h15-9h45 for morning sessions, and 12h30-13h00 or 16h15-16h45 for afternoon sessions. PCs are equipped with PowerPoint 2003 and StarOffice. Please, contact the registration desk if you require a Mac computer.

Poster Presentation:
Only one poster session will be organized from Saturday 9h15 till Monday 16h45.
Authors of the posters with even poster number P should be present at their posters Saturday between 9h15 - 9h45 and 16h05 - 16h45.
Authors of the posters with odd poster number P should be present at their posters Monday between 9h15 - 9h45 and 16h05 - 16h45.
All authors of the posters should be present at their posters Sunday between 9h15 - 9h45 and 14h45 - 15h45.
The space available for poster is 100 cm wide and 140 cm high. Necessary material for poster fixing will be available at the registration desk.

Commercial exhibition:
A commercial exhibition will take place on the main hall (Foyer) of Uni Mail, where poster session will be organized and coffee breaks served.

Access to Internet:
Access to Internet will be available to the conference and workshops participants in the.room no. 5183 (5th floor) of Uni Mail. Opened daily from 8h00 till 19h00. The building of Uni Mail is also covered by the WiFi signal. Each registered participant will receive a personal Username and Password valid since 31 August till 4 September for the access to Internet via the University WiFi network using his/her own laptop.

Passport and visa requirements:
For citizens of most countries, only a valid passport is required. However, visitors coming from certain countries may need a tourist visa. Please consult your travel agent or the nearest Swiss Consulate. On request, Symporg SA will be pleased to send you an Official Invitation letter.

Climate and clothing:
The climate is usually mild in September with temperatures of around 17 to 20° Celsius ( 63 to 70° F ). However, in addition to light clothing, don't forget warmer clothes and a raincoat for rainy days and good walking shoes as well as proper clothing if you plan excursions to the mountains.

Information about Geneva (sightseeing, cultural events, etc.) is available at: www.geneve-tourisme.ch, you can search interactively in Geneva or any other place in Switzerland. More information about Switzerland can be found on int.myswitzerland.com/en/welcome.cfm.

Money:
The Swiss currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). One Swiss Franc equals about 0.64 Euro. Banking hours are from Monday to Friday, 8h30 am to 4h30 pm (Wednesdays 5h30 pm). The banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays but cash machines are available all around in the city, and also inside the building of Uni Mail.

Shopping:
Shops in Geneva are open daily from 8h30/9h00 am to 6h30 pm Mondays to Fridays.
Closing time on Saturday: 5h00 pm.
